Cycling routes in Zeeland
Discover Zeeland by bike on one of our routes! From Arnemuiden, you can enjoy a scenic loop along the Veerse Meer lake, along beautiful dikes, through picturesque Veere, or through the historic center of Middelburg. Thanks to Arnemuiden's central location, you can enjoy the best of Zeeland's landscape. Our electric bikes have a range of up to 100 km, so charming villages and towns like Middelburg, Goes, Zoutelande, Westkapelle, and Domburg are within cycling distance. From Arnemuiden, you can cycle towards the Bevelanden polder, passing through tranquil nature, including beautiful orchards. Prefer a more relaxed pace? Then choose the route along the Zeeland coast and enjoy stunning views of the North Sea and the many restaurants and cafes along the coast in the picturesque villages of Domburg, Westkapelle, and Zoutelande. Please note: Bike pickup and return is not possible on Sundays. We also don't offer roadside assistance on Sundays. We are closed on Sundays.
Along the Zeeland coast
Cycling route 'Around Walcheren'
Walcheren is known for its beautiful, well-maintained cycle paths. These are often separated from the road, allowing for a peaceful and relaxing ride. Arnemuiden is the perfect base for a route along the Zeeland coast. Depending on the wind, you can ride this route counterclockwise or clockwise. The route takes you past stunning sea views, the highest dunes in the Netherlands (Dishoek), and through a beautiful nature reserve. Along the way, you'll visit all the charming villages and towns of Walcheren, such as Vrouwenpolder, Oostkapelle, Domburg, Zoutelande, Vlissingen, and Middelburg.

Surroundings: Flat terrain with small climbs, sea views, very good cycle paths, many places to eat and drink along the way
Special features: Sea dike near Westkapelle, highest dunes in the Netherlands near Dishoek, boulevard near Vlissingen, nature reserve De Manteling van Walcheren
Peace and Zeeland nature
Cycling route 'South Beveland'
Want to enjoy pure Zeeland nature and tranquility? Then choose the longest route! This route takes you through a beautiful, expansive polder area to the Western Scheldt and on to Goes. In spring, the orchards are in magnificent bloom. Finally, you'll cycle along the Veerse Meer, which also offers a beautiful view.
Total distance: 65 km
Surroundings: Very quiet, flat terrain, sharing polder roads with cars, it may take a while before you come across another place to eat or drink
Special features: Beautiful view over the Western Scheldt, the Coot near Wolphaartsdijk, Historic centre of Goes
Cycling & sailing
Cycling route 'Over by ferry'
From Arnemuiden, you can cycle in several directions. You can also cycle around the Veerse Meer lake. First, cycle inland towards Wolphaartsdijk. After Wolphaartsdijk, cross the Veerse Meer lake via the Zandkreekdam to Kortgene. Then, take the Schotsman ferry to Veere. Return to Arnemuiden via Middelburg. Don't want to take the ferry? That's also possible: cycle via Vrouwenpolder to Middelburg. This route is approximately 14 kilometers longer.
Total distance: With ferry 50 km – without ferry 64 km
Surroundings: Natural polder landscape, very good cycle paths, plenty of catering establishments
